Driving records, points and review
MVA slides 90–93
Detailed reading
A driving record includes convictions and licensing actions. Points reflect particular convictions; read the notice and official record rather than guessing from a course example.
Deeper study
Coursework review, an official final exam, certificate issuance and MVA reporting are separate steps. After the required instruction and activities, the academy issues a coursework acknowledgement. Official completion requires supervised final testing and verification before the authorized reporting process.
Reflection question
Study prompt: explain the difference between finishing lessons and receiving official program completion.
Speeding 30+ mph over the posted limit carries six points. The five-point example for 20+ mph over a posted 65 mph limit does not replace this rule. Review the actual conviction and complete statutory schedule.
Within two years: 3–4 points, warning; 5–7, DIP; 8–11, suspension notice; 12+, revocation notice. Completing this course does not erase points or itself restore a suspended license.
