Scope and contact
This notice explains information handled through DriversEdu.net and its school enrollment, lesson-request, scheduling-access, check-in, document-upload and staff-inquiry features. Drivers Edu Driving School is the school contact for these records. This notice is hosted alongside our LearnerMiles Academy for convenient access; Academy coursework and account features have their own Academy Privacy Policy.
For privacy questions or requests, email info@driversedu.net, call 410-764-1133, or write to Drivers Edu Driving School, 5335 Reisterstown Road, Baltimore, MD 21215.
Information you provide
Depending on the service you choose, our forms ask for your name, email, phone number, program and payment selection, preferred meeting location and availability, driving experience, permit status, acknowledgements and signatures. Some features request a learner’s permit, license, completion certificate or other program document. Those files can contain a photograph, address, date of birth and government identification number. Optional learning-support answers and messages contain whatever you choose to tell us.
Our help widget collects contact details, the selected service and your question when you send a staff-follow-up request. Member, booking, registration and payment features also create account, appointment, order and transaction records. Only provide documents requested for your service. Do not include Social Security numbers, payment-card details or medical records in ordinary messages or support answers.
How information is used and disclosed
We use enrollment and contact information to respond, administer school services, communicate course and appointment information, and maintain student records. Permit and identity information supports eligibility and identity verification. Driving experience and learning preferences help staff plan instruction. Payment and order records support registration, billing and payment reconciliation.
Information is handled by school staff and instructors who administer these services and by the platforms supporting them:
- Wix: website hosting, forms and uploaded files, contacts/member features, event registration, bookings, payment checkout and related site operations. Wix processes information supplied through these features and technical information needed to operate them.
- Payment providers: checkout/payment providers receive the billing and transaction details required for the payment option you select. Review the provider identified during checkout. School order records include payment status and transaction information; do not send card details through the school’s ordinary forms or email.
- Course and scheduling services: linked Academy and external scheduling services handle information entered on their platforms. Their notices apply to those features. The school uses relevant student, course and scheduling information to administer your enrollment and lessons.
- Maryland MVA and other legally authorized recipients: school records and required student information may be supplied for regulatory reporting, record inspection or other applicable legal requirements.
- Site-measurement providers: the technical and usage information described below is processed by the site’s measurement services.
Cookies and site measurement
Wix uses cookies and similar technologies for site operation, member sessions, security and measurement. Technical information can include IP address, browser/device information, referring pages, pages viewed and activity timestamps.
The site has Google Tag Manager and Metricool measurement integrations. Google Tag Manager manages tags and processes request-log/diagnostic information as described by Google. Metricool’s website tracker measures visits and page views; Metricool describes that tracker as cookie-free, with aggregate reporting and transient IP access. These descriptions concern those tools, not every service linked from this website.
Use Settings in the site’s cookie banner to manage the choices it presents. You can also block or delete cookies through your browser; doing so can affect sign-in or other site features. External services have their own controls. For more detail, see Wix privacy, Google Tag Manager privacy information and Metricool tracker information.
Records, retention and security
Retention varies with the record and service. Maryland driving-school rules require certain school business and student records to be kept for at least three years and made available to MVA. Other applicable recordkeeping obligations can also affect deletion. This is not a promise that every file is automatically deleted after three years. Contact us about the retention or deletion of a specific record.
Information is stored in the school’s service platforms and records. No internet transmission or storage system is completely secure. Use the designated upload feature for required documents rather than ordinary email, and contact us if you believe information has been sent to the wrong place. This notice does not promise a particular encryption method or security certification for every school system.
Students, parents and privacy choices
Our driving-school services are for eligible teen and adult drivers and their families. Do not submit personal information about a child under 13 through these features. If you believe such information was submitted, contact us. Parents or guardians may contact us about a student’s information; access depends on appropriate authority and applicable requirements.
You may contact us to request access, correction or deletion, ask about information disclosures, withdraw consent where applicable, or raise an objection or opt-out request concerning marketing, sale or targeted-advertising uses where applicable law provides that right. The availability and scope of rights depend on the law and the records involved; required school or transaction records may need to be retained.
Email info@driversedu.net with the subject Privacy request, your name, the contact information used with the school, and the request. Do not attach identity documents or card details to the initial email. Additional verification may be needed before records are disclosed or changed. To ask for review of a response, reply with Privacy appeal in the subject. You may also contact the Maryland Attorney General concerning privacy matters. Marketing messages may provide an unsubscribe option; you can also ask the school to stop marketing contact. Necessary enrollment and service communications are separate.
Updates
The effective date above identifies this version. We may update this notice as services or information practices change. A privacy notice does not replace program agreements or cancellation and payment terms.
